Transactions Flow

Navigation: Analytics → Transactions Flow

The Transactions Flow screen displays supply and demand transactions in chronological order for each item. The goal is to show, period by period, when an item will run out of stock - providing a detailed time-series view complementary to the heat map.

Overview

The screen answers the question: given all the supply (inventory, POs, MOs) and demand (SOs, forecasts) for an item, in which period does the balance go negative?

Rows are items; columns are time periods (the width of each period is set by the aggregation selector). For each item, the metric rows show the running balance across all transaction types.

Using Transactions Flow

  1. Use the aggregation bar to select the period granularity (1 day, 3 days, 1 week, etc.)
  2. Scroll right to see projected inventory positions further into the future
  3. Click the + expand icon on an item row to see transactions broken down by type (In Stock, Expected, Manufacturing, Demand, Forecast) in chronological order
  4. Use Advanced Search to filter to specific items, warehouses, or customers
