Forecast Snapshots¶
Navigation: Demand → Forecast Snapshots
Forecast Snapshots are point-in-time captures of the forecast, taken automatically by the system. They enable comparison of the forecast at any historical date against current or other snapshot dates.
Purpose¶
- Preserve the state of the forecast at a specific date
- Enable the Forecast Over Time and Forecast vs Sales analytics views
- Support long-term forecast accuracy tracking
Using Snapshots¶
The snapshot picker on the Forecast Over Time and Forecast vs Sales screens allows you to select a specific snapshot date and visualise the forecast as it appeared on that date.
The Forecast Snapshots screen itself is a read-only reference - it shows the same columns as Forecasts and lets you browse the content of any recorded snapshot.
